Bridge Gardens is open to the public 7-days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with free daily admission.
A five-acre gem in the heart of Bridgehampton, Bridge Gardens is a unique public and demonstration garden with undulating hedgerows, a wide variety of native and non-native perennials, annuals, shrubs and trees, an expansive demonstration vegetable garden, a large rose garden, and a unique 4-quadrant herb garden featuring culinary, medicinal, ornamental, and textile/dye plants.
Donated in 2008 by Jim Kilpatric and Harry Neyens, the Trust has maintained the original characteristics of the garden while introducing new elements and programs that tie it to the organization’s conservation mission. These include expanding the vegetable garden which supports local food pantries, installing 24 Community Garden plots, and using low-impact, environmentally sensitive gardening practices.
Today, Bridge Gardens serves as a multi-purpose, multi-disciplinary outdoor classroom, demonstration garden, and community resource, under the direction of Garden Director Rick Bogusch.
Our free self-guided tour of Bridge Gardens is now available through TravelStorys. Listen along as they share the history of the garden and discuss the different plant species that grow throughout the garden. Volunteers Help Bridge Gardens Grow!
If you have horticultural experience, are a Master Gardener, or just have a bright green thumb, you can help us keep the garden looking its best! Volunteer help is needed for special projects, general weeding of garden beds, deadheading spent flowers, greeting visitors, checking in workshop guests, and assisting Garden Director Rick Bogusch with garden tours that he provides throughout the growing season.
Heidi Rain is a reliable weekly volunteer and chooses to spend her time in the rose garden, deadheading flowers and keeping the roses looking their best.

Bridge Gardens is a Pick Up Location for Quail Hill Farm’s CSA Summer Box Shares!
Quail Hill Farm, a stewardship project of the Peconic Land Trust, is one of the first Community Supported Agriculture farms in the country. On fertile farmland donated to the Trust in 1990 by Deborah Ann Light, Quail Hill Farm’s CSA program offer the opportunity to harvest in the fields as well as box share options. In 2020 we expanded the offering to include Bridge Gardens as a pickup option and this continues in 2021.
Pickups are on Saturdays, 8:30 -11:00 a.m. from June through the end of October.

Enjoy a selection of images taken by photographer Jeff Heatley during a year long exploration of the gardens in 2014! Jeff’s images were used to create two sets of notecards, the perfect memento from your visit, or a gift for someone special!
Educational and Recreational Programming All Year
In addition to educational programs on horticulture, including vegetable gardening, Bridge Gardens hosts a variety of classes on the arts, conversations with local growers and gardening experts, music performances, children’s programming and more. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and picnics and enjoy the lush surroundings. Programs run from April through December.
