When it comes to land development and preservation, the two issues are often at odds with each other. Is it possible to find a balance? How do land use regulations need to evolve to adapt to an ever-changing natural environment? And what factors, including the real estate market and the economy, influence both land use and preservation?

Panelists for this event will include environmental planner Richard Warren of Inter-Science, Anthony Brandt, the founder of Sag Harbor's Board of Historic Preservation and Architectural Review,Chris Nuzzi, a former Southampton Town Councilman and current vice president of Advantage Title, Brian DeSesa, an attorney with the Adam Miller Group, Anthony Vermandois, a local architect, and Melanie Cirillo, the director of conservation programs at the Peconic Land Trust.
