Through Farms and Fields 2020: A Virtual Experience

A Celebration of Our Local Bounty

Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 4 pm

Thank you to all who joined us and raised a glass to celebrate farmland conservation and the bounty it provides.

From all of us at the Peconic Land Trust, THANK YOU!

You can watch our virtual event now, including interviews with local farmers participating in our Farms for the Future Initiative, an original song by local singer/songwriter Julia King. Watch now.

Details for 2021 Sponsorships will be announced soon.

Proceeds from Through Farms and Fields will benefit our Farms for the Future Initiative.

This year is like no other. Over the years, you have made Through Farms and Fields one of the Trust’s most popular and enjoyable events. We hope that you and all your family and friends are healthy. We are truly disappointed that we won’t be gathering this year for our traditional country supper.

But the mission of the Peconic Land Trust goes on!

Since our founding in 1983, the conservation of working farms has been a key element of our work, helping to protect over 6,000 acres of farmland on Long Island.

Please help us continue this vital work.

Now more important than ever, locally grown produce and farm products provide nourishment and healthy, delicious options close to home. Your generosity helps us do so much on behalf of the farming community and our natural environment. We hope you will make a special gift in support of our Farms for the Future Initiative.

The work of this ongoing program includes:

  • Farmland protection
  • Farmland leasing to new and established farmers
  • Farmer training and apprenticeship programs
  • Support for local food pantries
  • Places for people to grow and harvest their own food

Through Farms and Fields would not be possible without the support of many, including our event sponsors. Please consider joining us today as a sponsor.

Sponsors will receive a special Peconic Land Trust tumbler and we've partnered with Wolffer Estate Vineyards to deliver "Summer in a Bottle" Rose for you to toast along with us on August 2!
