Winterizing the Hive
Join Beekeepers John and Sofia Witzenbocker for a follow up to their popular spring "Introduction to Beekeeping" class. Its time to wrap up your first year of beekeeping. Workshop will include tips for ensuring your bees survive the winter including checking for a laying queen, treating for mites, evaluating honey stores, and how to wrap and protect your hive from the weather and pests. Bring protective gear as you will evaluate the hive at Bridge Gardens Space is limited, reservations required. Rain or shine.
