Sun Printing with Nature
Join artist Andrea Cote for a workshop creating cyanotypes on fabric in the sun at Bridge Gardens. Recognizable by its intense blue color, cyanotype is an early photographic process that uses sunlight exposure to capture shadows and translucent imagery beautifully. Experience this magical artistic process! Pre-treated fabric and materials will be provided, you will create two 12”x12” fabric squares. Bring your favorite botanicals and plants and create your own original work of art.
Andrea will be presenting a site-specific installation at Bridge Gardens in September as the featured artist of Parrish Art Museum’s 2024 Road Show.
$45/person, space is limited, prepaid reservations required. Two time slots available 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. OR 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Rain date August 17.
