Poinsettias – A Tour of Kurt Weiss Greenhouses
Did you know that one of the largest growers of poinsettias in the United States is located right here in Center Moriches? Please join us for a behind-the-scenes tour as the staff at Kurt Weiss Greenhouses prepare many thousands of plants for shipping. Led by General Manager Bill Zalakar, you’ll learn about the evolution of the plant, breeding techniques that have created what you know and love, as well as tips on care and cultivation. Come see new and unusual varieties on site, and find out what you’ve always wanted to know: how to get them to re-bloom next year! Every attendee will leave with a poinsettia to bring home.
