Pasture Tour at Acabonac Farms
Join us for a pasture tour at one of the only cattle farms on Long Island where the animals are 100% grass fed and pasture finished. Their cattle graze freely on open pastures under an intensely managed system of rotational grazing. Acabonac Farms never uses growth-promoting antibiotics, hormones, GMO seed, pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. Their team of ranchers has invited us to participate in a daily cattle move, as they rotate them to a new paddock. Come meet your ranchers and learn about their humane and regenerative ranching practices, soil health, and growing pasture in the unique sandy loam soils of the East End.

Directions:
-From the front entrance of Sylvester Manor on N Ferry Rd, drive east towards the Farm Stand and Manhanset Rd.
-Turn left at the roundabout onto Manhanset Rd
-Continue on Manhanset Rd until you see open pastures and a dirt road on the left.
-Turn left onto the dirt road and follow the road around the bends until you arrive at the big Barn.
-Please be cautious of the electric fence!
