Join us to visit this 100+ acre preserve in search of the famous Timberdoodle (the American Woodcock) during its annual Spring mating season. Led by naturalist John Turner, you'll learn to listen for the distinctive mating sounds used by male woodcocks to attract a mate. You'll also learn to identify other birds that are active in the evening and listen for Eastern Screech Owls who may be nesting on the property. Bring binoculars, flashlight, tick protection, and dress for the weather. Parking onsite, and cleared trail is relatively flat.
$5/person suggested donation. Space is limited, reservations required. Rain cancels.
