These pandemic times have brought about grieving in various forms to many. This circle will be convened several times this summer as an invitation for healing and community support for those in need. This circle is for everyone, but especially those who:
- have recently lost a loved one
- are facing your own sickness and/or death
- are living in fear of sickness and/or death
- are experiencing an existential form of grief brought on by COVID, that includes mourning the death of a prior way of life, and/or sense of stability and safety that was disrupted by COVID
- are grieving the lose of our natural environment during this period of accelerating climate change
The circle will be convened by Peter Corbett, a contemplative care practitioner trained in the Zen tradition. Prior to Covid, served at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in their emergency department and ICUs proving it spiritual care for sick and dying patients, their families and the hospital staff.
Please bring whatever cushion, chair or blanket that will allow you to comfortably sit in meditation and conversation for roughly one hour.
Please arrive no later than 11:00 a.m. so we may start together on time.
Please feel free to RSVP to as many of these as you like, and secure tickets for your friends/family. You can RSVP on eventbrite here.
