Going Behind the Scenes at 8 Hands Farm
Join us for a walking tour of this multi-faceted, sustainable family farm in Cutchogue where Icelandic sheep graze open fields, heritage chickens enjoy cage-free lives, and Tamworth pigs are allowed to be "piggish." The Geppel family's 2011 purchase of this 28-acre farm through the Trust's "Farms for the Future Initiative" has transformed the land into a thriving operation. Meet Tom, and Carol, and their two children, take a walk by the pastures, and learn about the challenge and rewards of working the land. Space is limited, reservations requested. Rain cancels.
