Father’s Day Weekend Hike at Laurel Valley
The stunningly beautiful mountain laurels will be in full bloom, making this the perfect time to explore the 148-acre Laurel Valley County Park. Starting at the kiosk directly across from Deerwood Path, this nearly 3-mile hike, led by Tim Corwin, offers some challenging terrain as it straddles the Ronkonkoma moraine. East-west ravines and ridges from glacial melt will challenge you, but trails offer places to rest and enjoy the view.
