Bring your children to Coast Guard Station Shinnecock, located just before the Ponquogue Bridge, and explore life under the sea! You’ll meet the educators from the NY State DEC for a presentation on marine life, enjoy a craft activity, then help capture undersea creatures using a seine net. Learn more about the influence of the Shinnecock Inlet on the inhabitants of Shinnecock Bay, as you examine up-close and safely release an amazing variety of crabs, small fish, and mollusks.

Wear water shoes to protect feet, and be prepared to get wet. All ages welcome, rain cancels.  This program is co-sponsored by the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
