There’s a new state park in Riverhead – join us for a guided nature walk! Hallock State Park Preserve offers wide open fields, woodland trails, Hallock Pond, and beachfront on Long Island Sound, all perfectly suited for nature exploration. Naturalist John Turner and local guide Richard Wines will lead you on a 2.5-mile walk to point out migrating birds, animal tracks, woodland flora, and more. You will also hear about the conservation of the parkland and the adjacent farm fields – over 529 acres in total. This newly completed trail system is the perfect place to celebrate National Public Lands Day! Co-sponsored by Hallockville Museum Farm.
