Bird migration research has confirmed a precipitous drop in the population of birds. The loss of native trees and shrubs that provide the calorie-rich berries that birds need to survive is cited as a major reason. Join us for a presentation with Ellen Birenbaum to learn how you can help! The North Fork Audubon Society’s Berries for Birds presentation reviews the science of co-evolution of native plants, insects and birds, the nutritional properties of berries by season, and describes in detail the wide range of berry producing trees and shrubs that are native to the North Fork.

$5/suggested donation. Space is limited, reservations required. Rain or shine.
