Water Quality Update | Georgica Pond Preserve
The Trust has been preparing the Georgica Pond Preserve for its return to nature. First up is the removal of the old restaurant building. To prevent contaminants from entering the pond during the demolition, an eco-barrier was installed earlier this month.
Once the buildings are removed and permits from the Town are received, the Trust will restore the property with new native plantings, including Bayberry, Eastern Red Cedar, and native grasses. This will hopefully take place throughout the summer and fall. Stay tuned!
