Tomato Taste Off Returns to Quail Hill Farm

September 21, 2017
Event
Quail Hill Farm

The glorious early September weather and light made a spectacular backdrop for the perennially favorite Tomato Taste Off at Quail Hill Farm on Saturday, September 2.

Special thanks go out to Jane Weissman and her group of dedicated volunteers organizing this love letter to the glorious fruit. Over 40 varieties of tomatoes were sampled with the winner (drumroll) … Black Cherry!

A first time winner over the perennial favorite Sungold. Rounding out the top six were Pineapple Pig and Siletz (tied for 3rd), Isis Candy and Eva Purple Ball (tied for 4th), Pink Brandywine, and BHN.

Thank you to all who joined us …

And enjoy the abundance of tomatoes still in the field!

Interested in joining Quail Hill Farm? We have a winter share that runs from Thanksgiving into March.

And Summer Shares for 2018 start at the beginning of June.
