Request for Proposals for the Sale of Farmland in Cutchogue

The Peconic Land Trust issued Request for Proposals (RFPs) for 130 acres of farmland along the Oregon Road farmbelt in Cutchogue, Town of Southold. The farmland, which is protected by either a Suffolk County or Town of Southold development rights easement, will be sold in four separate parcels, two of which include farmstead development areas.

The Trust is facilitating the sale of this farmland through our Farms for the Future Initiative.

All parcels have been historically farmed for 50+ years and are currently leased through 2023.

Responses to the RFPs must be submitted by April 24, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.

The four parcels are:

  • 5780 Oregon Road, Cutchogue, NY. 54.63 acres consisting of 52.53 acres of protected agricultural land and a 2.1-acre development area. The protected farmland is subject to a Town of Southold Development Rights Easement. The development area includes a two-family dwelling, a barn, garage, shed and an irrigation well. 
  • 8500 Alvahs Lane, Cutchogue, NY. 26.07 acres consisting of 23.81 acres of protected agricultural land and a 2.26-acre development area. The protected farmland is subject to a Town of Southold Development Rights Easement. The development area contains a frame dwelling and a barn. 
  • 19285 & 19155 County Road 48, Cutchogue, NY. 12.83 acres of protected agricultural land. The protected farmland is subject to a Town of Southold Development Rights Easement. 
  • 7800 Oregon Road, Cutchogue, NY. 41.78 acres of protected agricultural land. The protected farmland is subject to a Suffolk County Development Rights Easement.
