Nearly 20 local artists spent the day at Bridge Gardens on July 6. Inspired by the colorful flowers and landscape, they created a body of work that will be on display — and for sale — at our next Bridge Gardens Member’s Only Music Night on July 29th. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of any of these paintings or photographs will be donated to the Peconic Land Trust in support of Bridge Gardens.

The Wednesday Group is a self-organizing group of about 25 talented local artists who meet on Wednesdays to paint en plein air at locations throughout the East End. Inspired by the landscapes, seascapes and historic neighborhoods on the North and South Forks, the group shows their work at local galleries and has received acclaim over the 12 years since its inception. A big thank-you to artists Bobbie Braun, Gene Samuelson, and Frank Sofo for organizing the day. We can’t wait to see the finished artwork on July 29th!
