Established in 1990, Quail Hill Farm has been serving the Amagansett community for over 35 years, with over 250 member families! As one of the original Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms in the U.S., Quail Hill Farm strives to educate the public on issues such as sustainability, food security, and organic farming through its CSA program.
Ingrid, Albert, and Graham Lee, long-time supporters of Quail Hill Farm, captured the essence of our mission when they said, "From the moment we first set foot on the farm, we knew that Quail Hill was a special place. Our son learned to walk on Birch Hill, toddling between rows of Swiss chard and beans. Now, at age 4, he devours plates of peppers and tomatoes for lunch. We’ve made friends while digging for potatoes and swapped recipes among the arugula. And it’s fair to say we live all year long for those late summer weeks when the tomato vines hang heavy, and we get lost in the rows, calling out to find each other.
The farm roots us. Deep in winter, we count the weeks until the first harvest, the delicate lettuces and flowers that signal summer has returned. In a time when we've become disconnected from the land that sustains us, Quail Hill brings us back to the earth. There’s no feeling that quite compares to emerging from the fields with an overflowing basket and dirt under your fingernails."
