2008 Through Farms and Fields was a wonderful a Country Supper at Whitecap Farm on Mecox Road in Water Mill on Sunday, August 3, 2008, beginning at 5:30 pm, a  highlight of our 25th Anniversary Celebration.

Joining John v.H. Halsey, president of the Peconic Land Trust and the Board and staff, at this magical evening in celebration of the land were Kelly Klein and Stormy Byorum Good, our Honorary Chairs, event chair  Emma Clurman, and location hosts John L. and Evelyn Halsey and daughters Jennifer Halsey Dupree and Amy Halsey. The evening was sponsored by The Corcoran Group, Tiffany & Co. and Magaschoni Apparel Group. Local foods, live entertainment with Vivien and the Merrymakers, a special Children's Activity Tent, and a live auction -- led by auctioneer  Bill McCuddy --  made this a special evening to remember. Catered by Brent Newsom, desserts courtesy of Kathleen Tate.

The 2007 Through Farms and Fields was the kick-off for the Peconic Land Trust's First Annual Farmstand Heritage Celebration. A promotional campaign to encourage all residents and visitors to the East End to support our local farmers by shopping at the numerous farmstands that dot the North and South Fork. In 2008, the Trust has expanded this program -- both in terms of months and locations. For the 2008 map and listing of farmstands participating in the Celebration, click here.

Information on the 2009 Through Farms and Fields, scheduled for August 2, 2009, will be available early next year.  Please keep in touch!!!
